Eidos is a structural and civil engineering consultancy offering expert design and technical services.

We have a particular focus on unlocking complex and challenging projects and believe in simplification and risk identification and mitigation.
Driven from a background in form finding and complex geometries, we have a healthy attitude to technology and use technology to enhance solutions, provide better understanding and reduce design time and errors.
We are at ease and regularly use technology, modularity and componentised approaches.
We understand, respect and minimise embodied carbon by design.

Whether navigating cost or delivery constraints, overcoming engineering and logistical hurdles or working within constrained sites, Eidos brings deep expertise and innovative thinking to every challenge.  

We have a unique skill set providing specialist structural and civil design consultancy services. 
Our approach is rooted in achieving the best outcomes for each project, whether through efficient structural design or by supporting other design disciplines and clients in realizing the optimal solution.  
We specialise in unlocking complexity, through alternative thinking and the appropriate use of digital tools and technology.

Our story

Founded in the spring of 2025, Eidos was established to provide a more client-focused service. 

Launched by experienced structural engineers Mark Boyle and Alex Edmonds, we aim to provide design led services that integrate into the wider project team.
With collectively over 50 years’ experience, Mark and Alex have worked on a number of iconic projects around the world.
Often starting with a pencil and blank sheet of paper, their creative approach looks to work collaboratively with clients, architects, services engineers and contractors to achieve a fully coordinated, functional development.
From feasibility through to construction, our team has experience in successful delivery.

Our family

Eidos is a sister company of Momentum, the integrated transport consultancy.  

Momentum’s team is made up of progressive, knowledgeable thinkers in planning, analytics and highways and civil engineering. 
Working together our expertise extends to working on a range of projects, from complex buildings, sports and entertainment developments through to critical infrastructure projects, including bridges, tunnels and transport networks.
Our clients can expect the same industry- and market-leading expertise, experience and client service that define both Eidos and Momentum.
